I just happened to land on a music channel, unfortunately that is..that showed the Hero ‘dancing’ or rather doing eccentric body movements with the dancers behind following him....not to forget his skimpy heroine gyrating to the head splitting music beats that all looked like people from outer space doing some robotic drill practice..that they call ‘Dance’ in their space language and ooohhh not to forget those lyrics ..My godd!!! So vulgar..so cheap..so is this what we call the ‘Dance’ of the 21st century.?? Unbelievable!!!..so inspid..just impressionless….(of course some exceptions are thr..not ref to them)
My Dulled mind just wandered back to the ‘Romantic 60’s’ and I saw my fav hero Shammi Kapoor screaming yahooooo and putting his soul into his 'mad dance' that left cinegoers in splits asking for more…
What an era it was.!!!( i wasnt born then but still i know it was golden)
How can one forget the Melodious song ‘Deewana hua Badal’ picturised on Shammi and the lovely Sharmila in the picturesque Dal lake of Kashmir?Shammi’s antics and Sharmila’s Sharmana left the audience spell bound !!!

No gyrations..no loud beats…no vulgar lyrics..just pure romance..ahhh..how much we miss those movies of the 60's!
Teesri Manzil was another mile stone in Shammi’s career with great music and lyrics adding to the movie..
How can one forget him singing ‘Tum ne Mujhe Dheka’..to the gorgeous Asha Parekh..or him rolling down the snow screaming ‘Yahoo..koi mujhe jungle khahe’ to Saira banu in Junglee…

Shammiji is one actor who always danced his own steps….from his heart..living the character he played and well..he danced into the hearts of all his fans then..now and will forever!
Will we ever get to see such sheer magic again..Shammi style that is... is the big question????yahoooo..
